A digital, computer or image projector is an optical device that when connected to a desktop computer or laptop or other compatible device, will project the output from the device on to a wall or screen.

There are many specifications for a projector but the most important or most relevant would be Aspect Ratio (ratio of its width to its height), Lumens (the brightness of the lamp) and the ports and connections (what cable or wireless connection will you need to send the video).

Projectors largely were considered a business only item due to their initial expense, but now more and more consumers are buying them for themselves to experience the big screen in their home. With the latest streaming services all offering 4K and above, and of course Blu-Ray and UHD players readily available, the quality of projection in your own home can be quite the experience.

Can I ceiling mount a projector?

Most projectors can be ceiling mounted, however much like a TV, an additional separate mount will be required in order to achieve this.

How many lumens do I need for my room?

If you are using the projector in your home, you will likely need at least 1500 lumens. For classrooms, small lecture theatres or rooms with lots of windows, a minimum of 2500 lumens is best. For anything bigger you'll need a lot more lumens.

How can a projector refurbished?

Similar to computers, the manufacturer will recondition any parts using brand specific parts only.
