The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 Rack Server is a powerful and highly expandable 2U dual-socket enterprise server designed for virtualisation, private cloud, databases, business applications, storage and demanding data centre workloads. Supporting up to two 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and high-speed DDR5 ECC memory, the DL380 Gen11 delivers an excellent balance of compute performance, scalability and expansion for modern enterprise infrastructure.
This configuration features an 8 x 2.5" hot-plug SAS/SATA drive bay chassis, providing flexible enterprise storage for SSD and SAS drive configurations. The versatile 2U form factor offers greater expansion potential than a typical 1U server, making the DL380 Gen11 particularly well suited to virtualisation hosts, database servers, application infrastructure, backup and general-purpose enterprise workloads.
HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 Video Overview
Built on HPE's Gen11 ProLiant architecture, the DL380 combines Intel Xeon Scalable processing with DDR5 memory, PCIe Gen5 expansion and flexible OCP 3.0 networking. This provides the performance and flexibility required for VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, Microsoft SQL Server, VDI, private cloud and other demanding enterprise applications.
With support for up to 32 DDR5 DIMM slots, the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 provides substantial memory capacity and bandwidth for virtual machines, databases and memory-intensive applications. Its dual-socket architecture also provides considerable scope to increase compute resources as workloads and infrastructure requirements grow.
The 8 x 2.5" SAS/SATA hot-plug storage architecture allows the server to be configured around your performance, capacity and budget requirements. Support for compatible HPE Smart Array RAID controllers, enterprise SSDs and SAS hard drives makes the DL380 Gen11 a flexible platform for application data, virtualisation, file storage and backup workloads.
The 2U chassis provides extensive PCIe Gen5 expansion for compatible network adapters, storage controllers and other enterprise hardware. Flexible OCP and PCIe networking options further allow the DL380 Gen11 to be configured for different network environments and bandwidth requirements.
Enterprise remote management is provided through HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6), enabling secure remote administration, hardware monitoring, diagnostics and server lifecycle management. HPE's integrated platform security technologies, including silicon root of trust, help protect server hardware and firmware throughout its operational lifecycle.
