The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U, dual-socket rack server supporting 4th and 5th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, up to 32 DDR5 DIMMs and a wide range of SFF, LFF and EDSFF storage configurations. Depending on configuration, it supports up to eight PCIe expansion slots, iLO 6 management, HPE Silicon Root of Trust and GPU acceleration including NVIDIA H100 and H100 NVL. The DL380 Gen11 supports a broad range of GPU accelerators, with exact quantities depending on chassis, cooling and drive-cage configuration.

  • NVIDIA H100 80 GB and H100 NVL 94 GB PCIe accelerators — supported in air-cooled or Direct Liquid Cooling system configurations depending on chassis, processor and GPU count
  • Intel Data Center GPU Max 1100 (48 GB) — not supported on 12LFF or 24SFF CTO configurations, or on 12EDSFF when the EDSFF Bundle is selected
  • NVIDIA L40/L40S 48 GB and NVIDIA L4 24 GB — acceleration options for inference, AI and media workloads
  • NVIDIA A16 64 GB and NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada — density-oriented VDI and visualisation workloads
  • GPU quantity and compatibility depend on chassis type, drive-cage count and cooling configuration. Mixing different GPU models in one system isn't supported, and HPE specifies or recommends system memory of at least twice the total GPU memory for the supported accelerators

Up to two Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, either 4th Generation or 5th Generation — from 8-core entry parts up to 64-core Platinum SKUs with TDPs up to 385 W. As with other Gen11 HPE platforms, a system board built for 4th Gen CPUs cannot be field-upgraded to 5th Gen later.
