Designed for demanding business, enterprise and remote office environments, the Dell PowerEdge T560 Tower Server is a highly configurable 16th Generation dual-socket tower server combining Intel Xeon processing, DDR5 memory, enterprise storage and PCIe Gen5 expansion in an office-friendly tower platform. Available from EuroPC as a configure-your-own barebone server, this T560 chassis features 16 × 2.5-inch Hot-Swap SAS/SATA drive bays, making it an excellent foundation for virtualisation, databases, application hosting, business infrastructure, file services and enterprise storage workloads.
The Dell PowerEdge T560 supports up to two 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, providing substantial multi-core and multi-threaded performance for modern business applications. Its dual-socket architecture allows the server to be configured for workloads ranging from general-purpose infrastructure and application hosting through to virtualisation, databases, analytics and compute-intensive enterprise systems.
This particular chassis provides 16 × 2.5-inch Hot-Swap SAS/SATA drive bays, offering a flexible enterprise storage platform for compatible HDD and SSD configurations. The 2.5-inch format is particularly well suited to virtual machines, databases, transactional applications, file services and business storage, where performance, storage density and serviceability are important.
Compatible Dell PERC RAID controllers and HBA solutions can be selected according to the required performance, capacity and redundancy level. This allows storage protection, controller functionality and RAID configuration to be tailored to the deployment rather than being fixed to a predetermined specification. Storage controllers and drives are not included unless specifically selected as part of the server configuration.
With 16 DDR5 RDIMM slots and support for high-speed ECC Registered memory, the PowerEdge T560 provides substantial memory bandwidth and expansion capability for demanding enterprise workloads. Memory capacity and operating speed depend on the selected processor and memory configuration, allowing the platform to be tailored for virtualisation, databases, analytics and memory-intensive business applications.
Modern PCIe Gen5 expansion provides high-bandwidth connectivity for compatible network adapters, storage controllers, accelerators and other enterprise hardware. Support for Full Height PCIe expansion gives the T560 considerable flexibility for organisations that require greater expansion capability than a traditional compact rack server.
Flexible networking can be configured through the server's OCP 3.0 connectivity and compatible PCIe network adapters, allowing the PowerEdge T560 to support high-speed virtualisation traffic, storage networking, application infrastructure and other data-intensive business environments.
Advanced remote server administration is provided through Dell iDRAC9 and OpenManage, enabling remote monitoring, deployment, diagnostics, firmware management and lifecycle administration. These integrated management technologies help IT teams simplify day-to-day operations while reducing the need for physical access to the server.
