Designed for demanding enterprise and data centre environments, the Dell PowerEdge R760 Rack Server is a highly configurable 16th Generation 2U dual-socket server combining powerful Intel Xeon processing, DDR5 memory, flexible enterprise storage and PCIe Gen5 expansion. Available from EuroPC as a configure-your-own barebone server, this R760 configuration features 8 × 2.5-inch Hot-Plug SAS/SATA/NVMe drive bays, making it ideally suited to virtualisation, databases, cloud infrastructure, analytics, application hosting and other business-critical workloads.
The Dell PowerEdge R760 supports up to two 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, providing extensive multi-core performance and scalability for demanding enterprise applications. Its dual-socket architecture allows the server to be configured for workloads ranging from general-purpose infrastructure and application hosting through to high-density virtualisation, databases and compute-intensive environments.
This particular EuroPC configuration features a flexible 8 × 2.5-inch Hot-Plug SAS/SATA/NVMe drive chassis, allowing compatible enterprise SAS, SATA and NVMe storage to be configured within the same server platform. This versatility enables businesses to balance capacity, performance, latency, resilience and cost according to their specific storage requirements.
Support for high-speed NVMe storage makes the PowerEdge R760 particularly well suited to performance-intensive workloads requiring rapid access to data, including virtualisation clusters, transactional databases, analytics and high-I/O business applications. DDR5 memory supports high-performance virtual machines, databases, cloud applications, analytics and memory-intensive business systems, while ECC technology helps maintain data integrity and system reliability.
Flexible storage controller options allow the R760 to be configured around different performance and redundancy requirements. Depending on the selected configuration, compatible Dell PERC RAID controllers and HBA solutions can be used to manage SAS, SATA and NVMe storage, giving businesses the flexibility to build a storage architecture suited to their workload.
