Designed for demanding enterprise and data centre environments, the Dell PowerEdge R760 Rack Server is a highly configurable 16th Generation 2U dual-socket server combining powerful Intel Xeon processing with high-speed NVMe storage, DDR5 memory and extensive PCIe Gen5 expansion. Available from EuroPC as a configure-your-own barebone server, this R760 configuration features 24 × 2.5-inch Hot-Plug NVMe drive bays together with a dedicated Dell BOSS-N1 boot solution, making it ideal for virtualisation, databases, cloud infrastructure, analytics, application hosting and other business-critical workloads.
The Dell PowerEdge R760 supports up to two 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, delivering extensive multi-core processing capability for demanding enterprise applications. Its dual-socket architecture allows the system to be configured for a wide range of workloads, from general-purpose server infrastructure through to high-density virtualisation, database platforms and compute-intensive environments.
This particular EuroPC configuration features a high-density 24 × 2.5-inch Hot-Plug NVMe drive chassis, providing high-speed PCIe storage connectivity across the front drive bays. NVMe storage delivers excellent throughput and low latency, making the PowerEdge R760 particularly well suited to virtualisation clusters, database workloads, high-performance storage, analytics and applications requiring rapid access to large volumes of data.
The server also supports the Dell BOSS-N1 (Boot Optimised Storage Solution), allowing dedicated M.2 NVMe storage to be used for the operating system. By separating boot storage from the primary front drive array, BOSS-N1 helps keep the 24 front NVMe bays available for application and data storage while providing a dedicated platform for operating system deployment.
With support for up to 32 DDR5 ECC Registered DIMM slots, the PowerEdge R760 offers substantial memory bandwidth and expansion capacity for demanding enterprise workloads. DDR5 memory provides increased throughput and efficiency for virtual machines, databases, analytics, cloud applications and memory-intensive business systems, while ECC technology helps maintain data integrity and system reliability.
