The Dell PowerEdge R6715 Rack Server is a powerful 17th Generation 1U single-socket enterprise server designed for demanding virtualisation, private cloud, database, analytics and business-critical workloads. Available from EuroPC as a configure-your-own barebone server, the PowerEdge R6715 provides a highly scalable AMD platform that can be configured with compatible processor, memory, networking and expansion options to suit modern data centre requirements.
Built around a single-socket AMD EPYC 9005 Series platform, the Dell PowerEdge R6715 combines exceptional core density with the efficiency and simplicity of a single-processor architecture. This makes it particularly well suited to virtual machine consolidation, private cloud infrastructure, databases, analytics, application hosting and other compute-intensive enterprise workloads.
The PowerEdge R6715 provides 24 DDR5 RDIMM slots, delivering substantial memory bandwidth and expansion capability for memory-intensive applications, large virtual machine deployments, databases and enterprise computing environments. Compatible DDR5 ECC Registered memory can be selected to build a configuration tailored to workload and capacity requirements.
This particular R6715 is supplied in Dell's diskless / no-backplane configuration. No front drive backplane is fitted, making the server particularly suitable as a compute-focused platform for environments where application and data storage is provided through SAN, NAS, network-attached, hyperconverged or other external storage infrastructure.
Unlike a conventional diskless server with empty front drive bays, this configuration does not currently provide connections for front-mounted SAS, SATA or NVMe drives. Adding front storage would require the appropriate compatible Dell drive backplane, cabling and associated hardware.
Extensive PCIe Gen5 expansion provides flexibility for compatible high-speed network adapters, accelerators and other enterprise PCIe hardware. Combined with the high core density of AMD EPYC 9005 processors, the R6715 provides a scalable foundation for high-throughput networking, virtualisation and compute-intensive infrastructure.
Advanced remote server administration is provided through Dell iDRAC10 Core, giving IT teams integrated tools for hardware monitoring, system health, configuration, diagnostics and remote management. Dell OpenManage integration further helps simplify server lifecycle management across modern enterprise and data centre environments.
