Featuring a PCIe 3.1 x8 host interface and the powerful Broadcom SAS3508 RAID-on-Chip processor, this controller provides hardware-accelerated RAID functionality for demanding business and data centre environments. Support for 12Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SATA storage enables seamless deployment of high-capacity hard drives and high-performance solid-state drives, making it an ideal solution for virtualisation, database workloads, file storage, and general server infrastructure.
Equipped with 8GB of DDR4 non-volatile cache memory, the H740P enhances storage responsiveness by accelerating read and write operations while helping to protect critical cached data during unexpected power interruptions. Comprehensive RAID support includes RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, allowing administrators to balance performance, capacity, and redundancy according to workload requirements. The controller also supports online capacity expansion, RAID level migration, hot spare functionality, consistency checks, patrol read operations, and JBOD mode for flexible storage management.
Supporting up to 32 SAS and SATA HDDs or SSDs through compatible backplane configurations, the PERC H740P Mini Mono is engineered for scalable server deployments requiring dependable storage performance and data protection. Compatibility with 512n, 512e and 4Kn sector formats ensures broad drive support across modern enterprise storage environments.
