Dell / Emulex LPe35002 Dual-Port 32Gb Fibre Channel HBA

The Dell Emulex LPe35002 Dual-Port 32Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA), DPN 0CGT2C, provides high-speed connectivity between compatible servers and enterprise Storage Area Networks (SANs). Featuring two 32Gb Fibre Channel ports, this PCIe adapter supports a combined theoretical bandwidth of up to 64Gb/s across both ports, making it suitable for demanding storage environments that require high throughput and dependable access to shared data. Its PCI Express 4.0 x8 host interface provides a high-bandwidth connection to the server motherboard, supporting efficient communication between the host system and connected storage infrastructure.

Supporting 32Gb, 16Gb and 8Gb Fibre Channel link speeds, the Emulex LPe35002 offers backward compatibility with appropriately configured Fibre Channel fabrics, allowing integration into existing storage networks alongside newer infrastructure. Dual-port connectivity enables connections to separate SAN fabrics or redundant storage paths, helping improve availability when configured with compatible switches, storage arrays and multipathing software. Support for both SCSI over Fibre Channel and NVMe over Fibre Channel (NVMe/FC) makes this HBA suitable for traditional enterprise storage workloads as well as compatible NVMe-based storage systems. Its SFP+ port design accommodates supported Fibre Channel transceivers, with the appropriate optics and cabling selected according to the required connection type and distance.

Ideal for enterprise servers, virtualisation platforms, database systems and data-intensive applications, this Dell Fibre Channel HBA provides a practical solution for expanding high-speed storage connectivity in professional IT environments. Features including N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV) support help facilitate virtualised storage configurations, while the PCIe 4.0 x8 interface delivers the host connectivity required for demanding workloads. The Dell 0CGT2C Emulex LPe35002 is an appropriate choice for SAN expansion, storage consolidation and infrastructure upgrades where reliable, high-bandwidth Fibre Channel connectivity is required. Compatibility with the host server, operating system, firmware, transceivers and storage fabric should be confirmed before installation.
