Europc sponsors the UK Teaching Awards
We at Europc believe that these awards give hope to parents, teachers and pupils alike and so offered our support by sponsoring the Teaching Awards. We share the vision that teachers can transform lives and help young people realise their potential and are proud to be associated with the awards.
We strongly believe that computers are a fundamental learning aid and of massive importance to education. Europc are dedicated to providing access to lower cost as new brand name equipment.
Managed by the Teachers Awards Trust and established in 1998 by Lord Puttnam CBE, the Teaching Awards are held annually to publicly acknowledge and celebrate the crucial role that teachers play in the lives of our children and the future of our nation. However, the success of the Awards relies heavily on the generosity of sponsors as the trust is funded entirely through sponsorships and grants.
As commented by Lord Puttnam of Queensgate CBE, The Teaching Awards provides a unique opportunity for us to celebrate those who, tirelessly and often selflessly, dedicate their lives to securing a future for the next generation"
Open to every education establishment in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that teaches pupils aged between three and 18, these awards are supported by all of the main political parties. Support also comes from the Department for Education and Skills in England, the Department of Education in Northern Ireland and the Welsh Assembly Government as well as all the major teaching unions and associations.
The joy of these awards is that anyone can nominate and schools, headteachers, teaching assistants, learning partners and school governors can all be nominated for an award. Judging teams, which include TA fellows from the past decade and sponsors, visit scores of classrooms and meet hundreds of pupils, parents and governors, all supporting their endorsed nominations, in order to decide on winners.
