Take a different view with a 3x optical zoom
Zoom from wide angle to telephoto with the flick of a switch, changing your viewpoint instantly. At the wide-angle end of the zoom range you'll be able to take in big group shots and landscapes. Telephoto settings will take you closer to the action, and are great for portraits

12 megapixel resolution
Capture fine detail in images that are packed with colour and tone. Reproduce pictures at large print sizes, or crop them on your computer without loosing quality.

High-sensitivity ISO1600
When light levels get low the FinePix L55 lets you keep shooting, thanks to adjustable ISO sensitivity that extends as far as ISO1600. Raising the ISO sensitivity is also a great way to freeze fast moving action in good lighting conditions.

Digital image stabilisation
If the L55 predicts image blur due to camera movement, it shortens the shutter speed to compensate, prioritising image sharpness.

SR Auto scene recognition

Let the L55 decide what settings to use. Each scene is analysed as you compose it, with the camera choosing a appropriate subject-based shooting mode.

The FinePix L55 analyses each scene as you are composing it and select one of six subject-based scene modes to match: portrait, landscape, night, macro, night portrait, or back-lit portrait

Face detection
The FinePix L55 uses face detection technology to recognise when a person is in the frame. Exposure, focus, colour and tone are measured from their faces for great-looking portrait photographs.

Red-eye removal in detected faces
The L55 automatically detects and removes ?red-eye′, caused by using direct flash in dark conditions.

Detect up to 10 faces
The L55′s face-detection technology can recognise up to ten faces in a single photograph. Check individual faces using the zoom-up function while reviewing pictures. Each expression can be saved out as a new high-resolution JPEG file.

Blink detection
If anyone in a group shot blinks as you take a picture, the L55 will warn you, giving you the option to retake the image.

Smile and shoot mode
Capture an image automatically when the camera detects that your subject is smiling. Great for capturing that special moment.

Motion panorama and intelligent shooting modes

Advanced shooting modes enable you to tackle any subject with ease. Why not use Fujifilm′s advanced Motion Panorama technology to capture stunning landscape shots.

Motion Panorama
Create amazing panoramic images easily - right in your camera! Shoot three consecutive images and your L55 will stitch them together to form a seamless panorama. The camera even provides guidance to help you align the images as you shoot.
